The korosòl fruit, also known as soursop in English, is a tropical fruit widely used and highly appreciated in Haiti. Korosòl has a large, oval, or heart-shaped form with a spiky, green outer skin. Inside, the fruit contains soft, white, fibrous pulp, somewhat resembling wet cotton, which surrounds small, shiny black seeds.

Its flavor is a delightful combination of sweet and tangy, often described as a mix of pineapple and strawberry with citrusy undertones. While the flesh is often eaten fresh by scooping it out with a spoon, it is most commonly used to make "ji korosòl" (korosòl juice). It is also popular in refreshing drinks, smoothies, and desserts like ice cream and sorbet.

In popular and wise medicine, the leaves of the korosòl tree are brewed into tea, to help with sleep, promote relaxation, and support overall wellness.
